The Ministry of Health has updated the number of suspected cases of monkeypox to seven. The most recent case under investigation was notified this Monday (6) by the Health Department of the state of São Paulo.
So far, Brazil has no confirmed case of the disease. The states of Santa Catarina, Ceará, Mato Grosso do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul and São Paulo each have one suspected case, and two other cases are monitored in Rondônia.
According to the folder, patients are “isolated and in recovery, being monitored by health surveillance teams. The investigation of cases is in progress and collection will be made for laboratory analysis”.
