Health increases the number of vacancies in Mais Médicos to six thousand

The Minister of Health, Nísia Trindade, announced this Wednesday (29) that the number of vacancies in the More Doctors Program for Brazil, whose resumption was announced last week, will be increased by another thousand open positions in the first public notice. During the debate at the 24th March to Brasilia in Defense of Municipalities, the minister highlighted the National Movement for Vaccination and important investments that the federal government intends to invest in primary health care and comprehensive care, reducing long-term hospitalizations.

“We agreed in the More Doctors Tripartite Commission with all the innovations that we were able to associate through the evaluation and experience. Unfortunately, we had Brazilians outside of this coverage in the country, which caused important setbacks in this program. And with the relaunch, we will open six thousand vacancies. [na semana passada] five thousandbut it will be possible, at this moment, to expand to six thousand vacancies”, he detailed.

In all, 16 thousand vacancies will be opened until the end of this year for professionals who will be responsible for primary care in thousands of Brazilian cities, especially in areas of extreme poverty. The other 10,000 opportunities will be offered in the form of a counterpart to the municipalities, which guarantees lower costs to municipalities, facilitating hiring, faster replacement of professionals and permanence in these locations.

march

The resumption of dialogue with federative entities, social public policies, such as Mais Médicos, important works and the reopening of the doors of federal government ministries to municipalities were among the main points highlighted by representatives of the Executive Power), during the March, held in Brasília (DF).

Organized by the National Confederation of Municipalities (CNM), the event gathered today four ministers from the government’s Social Area for the panel “Debate with Ministers”. They listed the main programs of interest to the mayors and committed themselves to important agendas for the municipalities.

Education

The Minister of Education, Camilo Santana, stated that the government is resuming important policies in the country, such as the National School Feeding Program (Pnae). He recalled that the Pnae was an important policy that helped Brazil leave the United Nations (UN) Hunger Map in 2014, and that it had not been readjusted for at least five years.

Camilo Santana listed other readjustments that will be announced in the transfer of values, such as the program to support school transport, the Direct Money at School Program and the measurements of works agreed with the National Fund for the Development of Education (FNDE). “President Lula’s determination is that no work is paralyzed for lack of payment from the FNDE”, emphasized the minister. “In municipalities with terminated contracts, we are going to reactivate them to ensure that all day care and school works are concluded”, he announced.

“We want to open the MEC’s doors to Brazilian municipalities and states, build all policies based on dialogue and partnership and strengthen the collaboration regime between federated entities. and recognition of public education, with equity and quality for the Brazilian population”, defended Camilo Santana.

federative pact

The Minister of Cities, Jader Filho, highlighted the importance of dialogue and recomposition of the federative pact with the federative entities. He placed the ministry at the disposal of the mayors, presented the structure of each of the secretariats and made a diagnosis of the situation found by the federal government in this area in January 2023.

“My House, My Life [MCMV] had 186,700 unfinished housing units. There are 186,000 families that are not being served. It is a priority for us to remove these works from the status of paralyzed or slow”, he declared.

According to him, of the 82,000 residential constructions that were completely stopped, 6,000 have been restarted. Among the novelties of the MCMV Range 1 – dedicated to the poorest families, with a monthly income of up to R$ 2,600 – is the location of the units. “The choice of territories far from city centers will no longer be allowed. We want land that is closer”, said Jader Filho, adding that, despite continuing to buy land, the government will give priority to municipalities that can donate some areas to the program, which will cause resources to be invested in more homes.

On the same panel, the Minister of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Fight against Hunger, Wellington Dias, announced the release of BRL 400 million on transfer to the municipalities to be used in the Active Search of the Single Registry (CadUnico).
