Health authorities close activity in the Cabobré and Oasis spas in East Panama

The East Panama Health Region carried out an inspection in the area of ​​the Cabobré and Oasis spas in East Panama this Sunday afternoon, finding multiple faults with the established decrees and biosafety standards.

More than 5,000 people were found in the area, without the minimum biosecurity measures, they did not wear masks, bubbles and physical distancing were not respected, for which the Ministry of Health (Minsa) in conjunction with units of the National Police They proceeded to stop the activity that did not have a permit and evacuate the area.

Any activity to be carried out must have permission from the Ministry of Health, to avoid this type of incident that causes discomfort to the participants and is the responsibility of the organizers, before which the activity was closed.

The organizers were summoned to the regional headquarters and the possibility of fines of up to B / 5,000 and temporary closure of the establishments is considered, since they are repeat offenders in terms of offenses during this pandemic period.

The recommendations by the director of the East Panama Health Region, Carlos Batista, is to follow the biosecurity measures that are announced to cut the transmission of the virus, since the pandemic is not over and depends on the behavior of each one, since Covid-19 cases due to the omicron variant are increasing rapidly.
