Health is a fundamental right that requires guarantees based on a broad, serious and transparent debate. However, The current proposal raises concern due to the absence of a rigorous analysis of its financial, operational and social implications.
According to the Colombian Association of Scientific Societies, Criticism suggests that this reform, as proposed, does not solve the structural problems of the system. including its financing, operational assurance and the effective provision of health services. Furthermore, it is warned that it could open the door to regional manipulation and the misappropriation of public resources.

They indicate that it is alarming that A reform of such magnitude is intended to be approved in extraordinary sessions called at the last minute, without an open and participatory discussion. This procedure not only underestimates the importance of the issue, but also limits the possibility for civil society, experts and affected sectors to contribute their perspectives and knowledge to the debate.
The call is clear, the political party that leads this initiative must assume the discussion of the future of the health system with maximum responsibility. It is essential that Congress and political communities demand immediate solutions from the Executive to the humanitarian crisis that the system is going through, without turning this context into an excuse to impose hasty decisions that do not solve the underlying problems, they mentioned.
