The most recent report from the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce showed that, during 2022, 300,934 throughout the country sent complaints to the entity for the violation of their rights as consumers.

The main complaints from Colombians were due to health issues (34%), public services (20%) and the guarantees offered in the purchase of products or services (16%). Likewise, the sectors subject to the most consultations were the provision of health services, home public service companies, and telecommunications companies.
“The results confirm that health, home public services and the guarantee of the products and services purchased continue to be the three major priorities in terms of care for citizens”, assured Juan Camilo Durán T., Superintendent of Industry and Commerce (e).
Now, most complaints they were concentrated in the Andean region with 59 %. Then the Caribbean region with 24% of the complaints and the Pacific region with 10%. The Superintendency also showed that a total of 66,597 citizens belonging to strata 1, 2 and 3 were served, which is equivalent to 22%.

In addition, 16% of complaints came from older adults who received help through the Routes and Consumer Houses. Finally, of the entities that make up the RNPC, the SIC was the most consulted entity, with 34%, followed by Supersalud with 30% and Superservicios with 20%.
