The interim prosecutor on duty, Olga Melgarejo, ordered the preventive detention of the 11 uniformed that they would have participated in a controversial police operation carried out last night in Ciudad del Este.
The police officers arrested are: Commissioner Hugo Florentín Stiglit, Deputy Commissioner Manuel Ramón Villalba Gómez, officer Roberto Samaniego and non-commissioned officers Richard Seberiano, Rubén Giménez, Alder Centurión, Pedro Brítez, Jaime Ramírez, Javier Martínez, Alfredo Villalba and César González.
