Headquarters of the Bando de la Nación in Huancayo comply with a 24-hour national strike

Workers of the Banco de la Nación in Huancayo are complying with a 24-hour strike called at the national level, in defense of their economic stability and a demand for increased salaries. The measure arises as a result of the political interference of the Government, which would be “forcing” the Banco de la Nación to lend money to Petroperú.

“We agree with the purchase of airplanes, with the permanence of Petroperú, but there are many millions, which could leave the Banco de la Nación unstable”said one of the leaders in Huancayo. The Chilca district headquarters will not be open, while in other districts the service will be until 12 noon.
