Donation
After the arrival of the commander of the Southern Command, the United States government made a donation to Panama
On behalf of the Republic of Panama, I thank the United States government for the donation of a Beechcraft King Air 250 aircraft, which will be used by the National Aeronaval Service (Senan) for maritime surveillance and patrol operations, in the fight against drug trafficking
The President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo, assured that the new aircraft will make it possible to intensify the efforts made by Panama together with allied countries in the region, in the fight against organized crime, and also reinforce the search and rescue capacity in humanitarian missions.
For his part, the director of Senan, Jeremías Uriola, said that this equipment will allow a suspicious target to be detected day or night so that the units are less exposed while they carry out their work on the surface.
