Referring to the International Conference on the political process in Venezuela, which will take place this Tuesday, April 25, in Bogotá, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, in the Media, Networks and Walls section of the Con Maduro+ program, He underlined the vocation for dialogue that “the Bolivarian, Chavista and revolutionary government that I preside over has, we have dialogued with national actors, international actors, throughout all these years and I have called for dialogue more than a thousand times and always based on the peace and prosperity of the country.
In this sense, the Head of State expressed that “we are positively expecting this International Conference proposed by the President of the Republic of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, it is a risky move, but we believe that it could be done, we have proposed respectful dialogue .
Meanwhile, the president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, indicated that the most important element of this conference is to test whether the so-called international community is not going to succumb to the ambivalence of saying that it supports dialogue between Venezuelans, but in their executions they act differently.
Rodríguez also pointed out that “Venezuela will take as points for the conference, the lifting of all sanctions and coercive, unilateral and illegitimate measures.
“The money from Venezuela that is stolen, that is kidnapped, the gold and the money that is illegally withheld in European banks and the profits of Citgo, have to be returned to the Venezuelan people,” he said.
Likewise, Rodríguez urged that the policies of attack, adventures in US courts and the International Criminal Court be stopped.
“And as a fourth point from the Bolivarian Government we ask for the immediate release of diplomat Alex Saab, who is unjustly detained,” added the president of the National Assembly.
In the same way, he expressed the desire of some opposition political actors to return to dialogue in Mexico, a dialogue that they themselves interrupted and fragmented.
In this sense, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, declared that in order to return to the dialogue tables in Mexico, the United States government must return the three thousand two hundred million dollars, which must be exposed in the official communiqué that is issued from the conference, as a sine qua non requirement”.
