The 2nd Court of Miranda handed down a 13-year prison sentence against Héctor Alberto García Rodríguez (42), for his responsibility in the frustrated femicide against the mother of his son and 37-year-old ex-partner, the Public Ministry reported.

The event occurred on April 10, 2024 in the Santa Eulalia de Los Teques Community, capital of the Miranda state.

In the afternoon of that day, the woman went to look for her son at her paternal grandmother’s house. While she was waiting at the door, García surprised her and grabbed her by the arm to drag her into the building against her will.

Once inside the house, the perpetrator physically attacked her and tried to choke her when she fell to the floor, at which point he pulled out a knife and caused several wounds to her neck.

After observing the injuries caused to the victim, the aggressor left her lying and fled. The woman was taken to the Victorino Santaella Hospital. The aggressor went to the site, who was arrested there by Polimiranda.
