News Colombia.
This is patrolman Luis Alberto Morales Almonacid, who had been reported missing last Sunday, May 26 in Saravena, Arauca, and was found enjoying a game of billiards in the Colombian capital.
The events unfolded after a travel permit to Tolima that Morales requested, however, after his return, he chose to remain off the radar of his family and colleagues, generating concern in those around him.
This situation triggered an intense search that lasted until May, when two patrol officers discovered him carrying out ordinary work in a commercial premises.
The surprise was evident when verifying that Morales was not in danger, but was facing possible legal consequences for abandoning service, in accordance with article 105 that establishes penalties of one to three years in prison for those who abandon their position, fall asleep, get drunk or are subjected to narcotic substances during their service.
Although the exact reason for his action has not been clarified, it is speculated that he was looking for a mental break.
However, his behavior has sparked various reactions on social networks, where his decision not to inform his loved ones and the way in which he will face the legal implications are questioned.
Uncertainty persists about the true motivations of Morales, who will now have to answer to justice for his abandonment of service, while public opinion continues to debate his case amid a mixture of surprise and criticism.
