A 72-year-old man killed his 27-year-old neighbor, thinking he was a criminal, while the victim was fixing cables on the roof of his home, he reported. Telemundo and confirmed The Observer. It happened this Tuesday afternoon in the Peñarol neighborhood of Montevideo.
According to information from the police, the victim had two criminal records. The shot entered his neck, and when the troops arrived at the scene, he no longer had life. Personnel from a medical emergency later confirmed his death.
The 72-year-old man, who admitted killing him, told police he thought he was a criminal. He voluntarily handed over a revolver.
