What seemed like a regular night ended in an assault at the betting house, located in the Chilca district. The incident occurred on Monday, February 9, around 9:30 pm, when a man pretending to be a customer attacked the establishment’s worker to take the money.
The person intervened was identified as Amadeo Enrique Villegas Quispe (42). According to the first reports, the subject remained inside the premises for several hours observing the movement of the box and the surroundings. In a moment of carelessness, he intercepted the cashier, a 24-year-old girl, and snatched the cash from her.
The quick reaction of neighbors and passers-by allowed the alleged perpetrator to be subdued in the middle of a public street, preventing his escape. Minutes later, members of the National Police arrived at the scene to formalize the arrest in flagrante delicto.
