The director of the National Institute of Transit and Land Transport (Intrant), Milton Morrisonstated yesterday that with the suspension of the contract with the company Transcore Latam, SRL for the improvement of the traffic control center and the traffic light network of Greater Santo Domingo, “what belongs to the State was returned to the State.”
Morrison made these statements when asked about criticism from the former President of the Republic, Leonel Fernandezthat the traffic control system and traffic light network installed by the company Transcore Latam could be carrying out mass espionage.

He argued that upon his arrival at Intrant he found a situation resulting from an audit carried out by the Comptroller’s Office, which is why – he specified – it was necessary to terminate the contract and return the traffic lights to state control.
