He is coming "TravaCultural Festival" to make visible the art of this group

With the support of the Ministry of Culture and the National Theater Institute, next Sunday the “TravaCultural Festival” in the Manzana de las Luces with the intention of “make visible the different artistic expressions from a transvestite/trans perspective”evoking with its name a cycle that has history and was reissued every year between 2012 and 2016.

There will be round tables, lectures, plays, poetry reading, photo exhibition, painting exhibition, among other activities with free access.

“From the empowerment of people of gender-sex diversity, we allow ourselves to build a cycle, where transvestite/trans art is the engine that drives a true paradigm shift that is much more egalitarian and fairer“They said from the Seven Colors Civil Association in a statement.

“This festival has the objective of breaking prejudices from a rights perspective, contemplating the historical claim of the transvestite/trans collective and the acquired rights of our country in recent years,” they added.

The appointment is in Manzana de las Luces de Perú 222 Cultural Historical Complex, in the City of Buenos Aires, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.0.

Siete Colores Diversidad was born in 2016 with the aim of creating a space for artistic cycles that contemplate the voices of Lgbtttiqnb+ diversity, taking into account collective and community participation.

In the opening talk will be the non-binary trans activist Sasa Testa, the transvestite activist Florencia Guimaraes, the head of INADI, Greta Pena, and the Undersecretary for Diversity Policies of the Ministry of Women, Gender and Diversity, Agustina Ponce.

The moderation will be in charge of the theatrical director, teacher and actress Daniela Ruiz, who is also in charge of the Siete Colores Diversidad Civil Association.

Later, starting at 6:30 p.m., the play “La Deuda del Grito” can be seen, with monologues that disarm the realities of many women from the global south, indigenous, brown, migrant and racialized transvestites.

For 7:15 p.m., the photographic performance of “Brown Women” by Leonardo Crovetto is scheduled, based on questions such as “where does brownness figure in the context of the fight for transvestite-trans rights?” and “how are lgbtiq+ people represented in advertising?”.

Then you will be able to visit the exhibition “Only Living Your Dreams” by the plastic artist, actress and trans activist Victoria Fiorela Sosa Diaz.

The program will continue at 7:30 p.m. with the activity “Remembering the trans artist and activist Lourdes Ibarra” with a reading of poems and a northern folk dance performance by trans dancers.

Subsequently, the presentation of “La Casa Muñecas Furiosas” will take place, which is a “transvestite and sudaka tribute presentation to ballroom culture”, the clandestine LGBTIQ+ subculture of young Afro-Americans and Latinos that originated in New York City, United States.

The closing to pure rhythm will be carried out by DJ Rodrigo Rtpando.
