Who is Antonio Martinez Dagnino?
Antonio Martínez Dagnino took over as head of the SAT in October 2022 after Raquel Buenrostro took over the leadership of the Ministry of Economy.
He holds a degree in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Finance from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
The Mexican government reports that it has more than a decade of experience in the Mexican Financial System and in the areas of Fiscal and Tax Policy of the Federal Public Administration.
He has worked in the areas of auditing, supervision and analysis of financial instruments. At the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV) he participated in the implementation of capital and liquidity supervision procedures for financial institutions.
On December 1, 2018, he was appointed by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador as head of the General Administration of Large Taxpayers (AGGC) of the Tax Administration Service (SAT).
