“He does not score anything in any survey,” said Vásquez about Carrizo’s aspirations

Yisell Arévalo Castro | February 2, 2023

The deputy of the independent bench, Juan Diego Vásquez, said that he prays to God and prudence that Vice President José Gabriel Carrizo realizes that he does not mark anything in any survey, that neither he nor his government have done anything for the country, except cause problems, increase corruption and indebtedness.

Vásquez’s statements are generated after the resignation of Carrizo from the Ministry of the Presidency was announced yesterday afternoon, who is preparing this weekend to launch his presidential candidacy for the Democratic Revolutionary Party primaries (PRD).

“Hopefully from now until when he plans to make that announcement, he will give up and say, ‘I am going to resign from office and I will see how I continue to make my life in private’ because he has not been up to the challenge he assumed and who promised so much in the campaign to do things, “the deputy reiterated.

He insisted that he absolutely does not see him as a potable candidate for the presidency of the Republic in the next general elections of 2024, and assured that he is aware that Panamanians often do not have good options to be able to choose correctly.

It is important that the country seek or create the necessary options, “I believe that if he decides to be president of the Republic it is a big mistake and it would be a mistake for anyone to support him,” concluded Vásquez.
