Roisber Alejandro Marquina Velásquez (22) died early this Saturday morning, after dying for four days after being sprayed with gasoline and burned, according to police sources.
A video broadcast on networks records the moment in which Roisber was subdued by another man, while a woman throws a portion of gasoline at him and then sets him on fire. This event occurred on the afternoon of April 11 in the Simón Rodríguez urbanization, Coche parish, Caracas.
The flames caused injuries to 95% of Roisber’s body, which warranted his transfer to the Miguel Ángel Ortiz hospital (Periférico de Coche) where he was intubated.
For this fact, Eliézer Eduardo Hurtado Nieto Nieto and Pedro Luis Pérez Mireles are already detained. Alexandra Karina Ortíz, the woman who sprayed Roisber with gasoline, still remains to be captured, according to the video.
It should be noted that on April 13, the Public Ministry assigned the 20th National Prosecutor’s Office to investigate the case, as announced by the Attorney General, Tarek William Saab through his Twitter account.
