The senator and president of RN, Francisco Chahuán slipped some of the names that he would like to make up the Expert Commission for the new constitutional process.
His candidates are two former presidents who opposed him, such as Eduardo Frei and Ricardo Lagos. However, he did not name another former president, such as Michelle Bachelet.
“I would love for former president Lagos or Frei, who have already been asked to eventually become experts,” Chahuán said in a conversation with Radio Patternadding that “I see it with very good eyes, also, I must say that when I spoke with President Lagos, Frei or Piñera, they are willing to contribute and collaborate.”
The main function of the Expert Commission -which will begin its work in January and whose members will be elected by Parliament in the last week of December- will be to put together a draft.
