HOLY SUNDAY.– The architect and communicator Kalil Michel Presbot described as “a search for sound” the initiative of the mayor of Santo Domingo Este, Dio Astacio, who seeks to name a street in Los Minas after “Palín”, grandmother of the dembowsero “The Conscious Pencil”.

“I agree with recognizing those who contribute to society like Mrs. Palín, but there are not many Palíns in Los Minas, Ensanche Ozama, Los Tres ojos, however, I do not see anyone proposing recognition and designation of street names for them. Because the important thing is not to recognize the trajectory, but to be nice to the Pencil, and that is wrong,” highlighted Michel Presbot.
“But, let’s not leave it alone there, let’s look at the case of the PRM deputy, Nelson Marmolejos, who uses the first State” to request that Daddy Yankee be recognized for his great contributions to the Dominican Republic. All to appear in a photo with the rapper “Abusador” added the also diplomat.
“Hey, but not like that, the only objective of both Astacio and Marmolejos is to search for sound, do you think it is possible that so many Dominicans have dedicated their lives to the fight against drugs, cancer and many other evils that afflict society , and no one talks about recognizing them, that is unacceptable,” he said.
The lawyer, also stated that in this society the rulers seek to make noise and not govern. “This country is falling into that little game in which politicians seek more cheers and recognition than doing an exemplary job; and all of this simply for fear of losing popularity and that is dangerous for our society,” he noted.
