Gianni Infantino stated yesterday, during a meeting in Brasilia, that the “main topic” of the meeting was Women’s World Cupthat Brazil will house in 2027. “It will be the best World Cup in the history of football. We will have between three and four million fans” in the eight stadiums that will host the competition between June and July 2027, declared the president.
The head of FIFA also highlighted that everything is “ready” at the level of stadiums, hotels and airports. “It will be a total success (…) We don’t need anything more than the joy of the people,” he added. For his part, Samir Xaud, president of the CBF, stated that the 2027 World Cup will mean “a before and after” for South American women’s football. “We want to celebrate the best and biggest Women’s World Cup in history. We are together to do it as best as possible and, if possible, for the title to stay here, in Brazil,” he said.

The next Women’s World Cup will take place between June 24 and July 25, 2027 and will feature the participation of 32 national teams. Eight Brazilian cities will host the matches of the big event: Belo Horizonte, Brasilia, Fortaleza, Porto Alegre, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and São Paulo. Spain, as champions in 2023 in Australia and New Zealand, will be the defending champions.
