The municipality expert Haysel Gonzálezstated today that the current management of the Santo Domingo East Mayor’s Office headed by Manuel Jiménezhas caused a “health disaster”.
“The current management has led the municipality to a disaster in terms of health. ORA health crisis resulting from the lack of a plan that can make garbage collection more efficient,” he said.
“We have wanted to directly manage the garbage; and since that plan was announced by the mayor’s office we warned that they were embarking on a mistake (…) Municipalities that manage a larger budget that Santo Domingo Este have concluded that it is neither profitable nor sustainable to be able to manage waste directly. Garbage requires a specialized service based on studies sociodemographic to be able to determine the schedule, route and frequency; install a monitoring center for the supervision and inspection of these routes; it is necessary to do a renewal every five years of these fleets, operational costs”, referred the young expert.

interviewed in space “TODAY TV”, Haysel Gonzaleznoted that Santo Domingo East make a mistake when “populism” leads people to direct from important positions that locality.
“When a position is reached as a result of populism, of certain historical errors that happen in the Republic Dominican. A Santo Domingo Este has happened to him this in several periods (…) The same company buys candidates imposed by the parties politicians, not the most prepared, arrive unprepared for the position. Everyone wants to aspire to everything (…) Santo Domingo East The same thing has happened to him, we come from Guatemala to Guatepeor”, pointed out Haysel.
He added other problems such as the lack of investment in parks, sports fields, sidewalks and curbs, as well as putting in the foreground the citizen security as established by Law 176-07.
