SAN LUIS POTOSÍ, Mexico.- The Cuban singer-songwriter Haydée Milanéswho is currently on a tour of Aztec land, has raised his voice for the freedom of Cuba from Mexico and has expressed his solidarity with the unfortunate hours that the Cuban people are experiencing.
In conversation with CubaNetthe artist He lamented the humanitarian crisis that is drowning every Cuban home and hoped that the suffering of the families who have accumulated days without electricity and water on the Island will soon end.
“I want to send a very big hug, with a lot of love and a lot of feeling for the whole situation that the Cuban people are going through. I deeply regret it and I hope that this situation ends soon,” Milanés said.
His words were a cry for the freedom of the country, also faced with a tropical storm that has left more than 1,000 homes damaged in Guantanamo.
“I ask for freedom to Cuba“I ask for freedom for the Cuban people and I ask for this nightmare to end now,” he added.
From each platform, Milanés asks for those who “have given everything for ‘the revolution’ and have been abandoned and live on a miserable pension that is not enough to eat” and live their sorrows in a country where “social security does not exist.” .

Freedom, says Haydée
The composer Haydée Milanés, exiled in 2022, is one of the most active voices in favor of the Cuban cause. Inside and outside the Island, he has not stopped speaking out against the violation of human rights in Cuba and demanding the release of political prisoners on the Island.
