Due to the failuresince 7:25 pm, pumping from that source of supply was interrupted and the water service in the municipalities of Centro Habana and Habana Vieja was affected.
The Plaza de la Revolución municipality was left without water since 3:00 am, except for the area of the Loma del Príncipe Hospitals, and the same happened in the Cerro municipality, in the Casino, Santa Catalina, Palatino, Las Cañas, Martí and Cepero Bonilla neighborhoods.
In the municipality of October 10, the Santos Suárez neighborhood and part of Sevillano were affected, and in the municipality of Boyeros, the Embill, Ciudad de la Construcción, Río Cristal neighborhoods and part of Alta Habana.
“The repair and maintenance teams of Large Conductors work uninterruptedly with the aim of repairing the faults in the shortest possible time at the source of supply,” the note said.
The repair work was completed on Monday afternoon. However, they said they had to wait for the water to arrive at the Palatino junction, where the service to the municipalities of Old Havana and Central Havana is concentrated in the areas of Dragones and Cayo Hueso.
“Services will continue as usual afterward,” they said.
In April a pipeline of the water conduction network of the South Basin collapsed and also left a large part of the Havana population without water.
Another power outage caused the main 78-inch pipeline to break down in the source of supply in the South Basin of Havana, a coastal aquifer from which the vital liquid for the population is extracted.

The Santos Suárez district and part of Sevillano in the municipality of 10 de Octubre and others were also affected.
The population affected by the intermittent water supply has previously reached 200,000 people.
