A court in Arroyo Naranjo sentenced a mother and her partner to 8 and 10 years in prison for extreme neglect and “sexual abuse” against four girls ages 1 to 10, revoking the accused’s parental rights.
The ruling took place on September 29, when the Popular Municipal Court of Arroyo Naranjo declared Daima Rodríguez Núñez and Carlos Díaz González guilty of corruption of minors and other crimes. according to the Popular Provincial Court of Havana.
Rodríguez, mother and guardian of the girls – three with cognitive disabilities attended in special schools – did not guarantee their education, food or health despite state aid, the note states.
