The organizing committee of the International Festival of New Latin American Cinema published this Tuesday the announcement to its 44th edition, with dates from December 8 to 17, 2023.
According to details, quoted by the agency Latin Press (PL), filmmakers may register works in the categories of Fiction and Documentary, First Feature, Short Film, Animation, Unpublished Script, Poster and Post-production.
For the film contest, productions on a Latin American theme completed between 2022 and 2023 will be accepted, while the application period extends until August 15 of the current year, according to the source.

Records can be made digitally at the festival websitewhere those interested will attach the link of the work hosted on the Vimeo platform, with open download and their password.
The dialogues, narrations and texts must be in Spanish, clarifies the document, while pointing out the need to use subtitles in the pieces of other languages.
The organizers will once again give the award to diversity, which will distinguish the Latin American work that best represents the themes associated with sexual orientation, gender identity and female empowerment.
The Havana Festival maintains its premises around the diffusion of a cinema that contributes to the enrichment and reaffirmation of the Latin American and Caribbean cultural identity, points out PL.
