Havana: Digitization process of vaccinated patients will be intensified

The highest authorities of Havana indicated this Tuesday, March 1, to the directors of the provincial health system to speed up the digitalization of vaccination records, to facilitate the access of immunized citizens to digital passports.

Dr. Nilda Roca Menéndez, deputy director general of the Provincial Health Directorate, explained to the Temporary Work Group (GTT) for confronting COVID-19 in the capital, that this process is 79.9% complete; the registration of the minors who received the Sovereign Pediatrics is the most delayed because this is the last group to intervene.

In general, the municipalities of San Miguel del Padrón, Boyeros, Arroyo Naranjo and Playa are the most lagging behind in digitization.

Regarding the primary vaccination campaign, it was reported that the application of the first dose is fulfilled at 99.4%, the complete scheme at 93.7, and in the month just concluded, 100% of the planned patients were reinforced.

Regarding the epidemiological situation, Dr. Emilio Delgado Iznaga, provincial director of Health, affirmed that control of the epidemic is maintained, as evidenced by the continuous decrease in the incidence rate, and the almost zero reports of seriously ill patients.

At the close of Monday, only six positive cases of COVID 19 were diagnosed; all are autochthonous and contacts of previously confirmed cases.

769 patients remain hospitalized, 667 at home and 102 in hospitals; 22 patients recovered and 72 remain active.

An elderly woman with multiple comorbidities is in critical condition; no serious patients are reported.

The GTT authorities warned that despite this positive outlook, the mandatory use of the nasobuco, and of chlorinated substances as preventive measures, remains in force.

The meeting also reported that everything is ready for the day of celebrations for the 335th anniversary of the foundation of the municipality of Regla, which will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, and which includes the inauguration of more than a dozen works in the sectors Gastronomy, Commerce, Health, Culture, and Housing.
