The Cuban Rum Masters movement and the company havana club they came together at the Ronera San José to honor the late First Master José Pablo Navarro Campa, with the creation of an exclusive drink, according to official media.
Baptized with the name “Don Navarro”, the new rum will have a limited edition of only 1,000 bottles a year and was meticulously elaborated with the participation of all the Masters and Aspirants of Cuban Rum, reports an office from the agency Latin Press (PL).
The official launch of the new product will be in September 2022, two years after the death of Maestro Navarro. According to a Havana Club publication on their websitethe liquor will be available in Cuba with an “exclusive distribution” to “select places”.

The experts came together to recreate in this liquid the qualities that distinguished Navarro as a master rum maker and as a result they obtained “a Ron soft, pleasant, very elegant, and at the same time, strong and fervent”, specifies the statement of the prestigious brand.
Together they selected, blended and created a spirit “as special and unique as its mentor was”, which will awaken genuine emotions in those who have the opportunity to taste it, adds the note.
Latin Press remember that José Pablo Navarro dedicated part of his life to finding solutions to the technical challenges of the distilling industry and is considered the creator of modern dark rum and Havana Club 7.
In 2000 he received the title of First Master of Cuban Rum, the most prestigious award in the sector, which was a recognition of his experience and passion, and he was a mentor to an entire generation in that guild.
