He does it shamelessly, even pretending to ignore the time that the singer himself, by whose death he is now moved to tears, dedicated some off-color and expletive words against Miguel Díaz-Canel—a moment that has been recorded on video and that these days is circulating on social networks—, and also forgetting the times that Abel Prieto, leader of the “cultural war” against “mass culture”, reggaeton, distribution and everything that deviates from that “official culture” ” which is promoted by the Ministry of Culture, which is the same as saying the Ministry of the Interior.

He ignores, in passing, the censorship that has prevented for decades El Taiger’s music, as well as that of other delivery men, from reaching that radio and television system that is directly directed by the Ideological Department of the Communist Party, and he pretends not to be responsible for the harassment of representatives of urban art in all its manifestations, the closure of independent recording studios, the penalization of these activities that continue to be prohibited as monopolized practices by state companies for recording and marketing musical works.

But the most serious thing about this opportunistic defense of El Taiger is not that it tries to make us believe that it is sincere, but rather that it seeks to make us forget the reasons why all those singers who today live scattered around the world have been forced to emigrate, as It happened recently with the one known as El Bebeshito, who, seeing his public concerts closed by the police, having been invited to a television program, was later excluded by orders of some “black hand”, and who is currently the most listened to on the Island , was never called upon to record a number by the record labels manipulated by the MINCULT, and has never been mentioned positively by the hypocrites of Cubadebate.

They are taking advantage of the circumstances not out of empathy towards a people they despise, who they have very consciously divided between a small military group with power and a mass surrendered at their feet by dint of repression, but to test the effectiveness of their disgusting verbiage about “haters”, striving to consolidate, in the midst of feelings of mourning, a discourse that falls under its own weight, while many of the people who cry today for El Taiger are the same ones who know very well what the true root of their daily misfortunes is, although out of fear they remain silent.

Misfortunes that go back beyond the emergence of the independent press, of the influencers and social networks, and desires to be free that are lost in time, as well as in the memory of a country that now cries for its singer but that tomorrow will forget him, just as it has been trained to forget everything, including the ordeal of the girl Amanda and his family, who despite having been saved by the pressure of those the regime calls “haters”, did not receive all those prayers, messages, marches, mobilizations like now with El Taiger, but they did receive enough blessings for today. to be alive and healthy far away, in Europe, where there were resources to save a stranger, and not here where only a privileged elite has quality medical care.

The regime, always unscrupulous, has seen the circumstances as its moment to attack. He has done it with such precision and with such synchronization of his spokesmen and media, of his “cyberclarias”—which have carried a good part of the campaign—that it seems he had been waiting since the day before for the news of the fatal shot, as if misfortune had happened to him. fallen from the sky just as the prey falls from a shotgun. As if, to justify his attack against independent journaliststo make her go unnoticed in the middle of another piece of news that crushes her, would have planned this moment like the cold killer that she has proven to be.

Like the opportunist who wanted to use the misfortune of the fuel tank fire in Matanzas to his advantage, despite having sent almost child soldiers to their deaths, and like the psychopath who turned the mourning for the victims of the explosion of the Saratoga Hotel, a catastrophe for which the results of the investigation have not yet arrived, nor have the names and sanctions of those responsible. Maybe because it was actually a failed experiment, a botch, to test the discourse about “haters”?

Are they so in need of “heroes”, of tragedies and of reasons to blame others for the disaster they have caused with their ambitions for power, with their plans to economically consolidate a military elite that is foreseeing its fall and needs enough capital to resurrect wherever they give him refuge?

Are they so desperate that they have preferred to bet everything on that paradigm of “apolitical” youth, without great ideas or morals, and not on that true “new man” who decides to fight to the death to “change what must be changed”?

A legitimate “new man” that we have only seen incarnated in the men and women who take to the streets to shout out for the freedom that has been taken from them, in the artists who today are in prison or suffer exile for not prostituting themselves with their art in the midst. of a dictatorship.

Hate is not what divides Cuban society nor will hate against the “haters” what will unite it. The marked and dangerous separations that today threaten to tear Cuba apart are those that have been manufactured by the dictators themselves to do their thing while we are distracted fighting against each other, and not all, united, against those who gain time and money when we face each other.
