The restaurant LUMAKA today announced the definitive closure of its operations after the fire that occurred on June 20 in which all of its facilities were consumed.
“We write to you to communicate with great regret and sadness the closure of our beloved Restaurant LUMAKA after the unfortunate incident that occurred on June 20 of this current year, where we were surprised by a fire generated in the Plaza del Pescado in the afternoon, leaving our facilities in ashes, causing an irrecoverable loss. Thanking God there was no human loss, only the material,” he said.
In a message posted on the social network Instagram, the administration of LUMAKA He thanked his clients, collaborators and entities that intervened in the incident.

“With regret we are forced to close our doors, but without first thanking our customers for the support provided; to our employees and collaborators for having made LUMAKA a family that will endure over time; our suppliers for the support provided in this terrible situation, to the military organizations of the Municipality of Boca Chica; Fire brigade; INTRANT; National Police; Civil defense; Politur. Also like the Boca Chica City Council, ”he indicated in the post.
He concluded by saying that, “Thank you in advance for the understanding that this moment of pain deserves for our family, clients, collaborators and friends. See you always!!!”
Besides of restaurant LUMAKAanother 17 establishments were consumed by the flames of the fire inside the Plaza del Pescado.
