In this regard, Uriel Carmona, prosecutor of Morelos, reported that said violent act, in which one person lost his life, was a confrontation between the authorities and a gang dedicated to vehicle theft and drug dealing.
Kidnappings in Morelos
The most recent report from the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System (SESNSP), dated September, reports a total of 19 kidnappings throughout 2022 in that entity.
According to the Stop Kidnapping organization, Morelos is one of the entities with the highest number of kidnappings from December 2018 to September 2022, with 194 reports, two of them registered in September of this year.
