The suspended head of the High Complexity Division (Diviac), Harvey Colchadodenounced the congressman Fernando Rospigliosithe former Minister of the Interior, Remigio Hernandi, and a Fujimorist known on social networks for promoting hate campaigns, Omar Suriel Chacón, for the alleged crime of aggravated defamation.
The former member of the special team of prosecutors against corruption in power (Eficcop) seeks payment of civil compensation and imprisonment of the three people already mentioned for having expressed “a series of insults and insults” against him in various mass media.
According to the fiscal document, Harvey Colchado seeks that the congressman of Fuerza Popular, Fernando Rospigliosi, pay S/1,800,000 and the corresponding prison sentence ranging from 1 year, as a minimum, to 3 years.
“Your Honor, as I hereby categorically demonstrate, the events for which I am filing this complaint have been occurring on several occasions, in circumstances in which the defendant, using mass media, newspapers, and social networks, expressed… a series of insults and abuses against me… in my capacity as head of Diviac,” it reads.
Along the same lines, Harvey Colchado emphasizes that the 77-year-old parliamentarian would have referred to him as a “henchman” in his statements given to various media outlets.
Harvey Colchado: defamation complaint also falls on Remigio Hernandi and Suriel Chacón
Harvey Colchado filed two complaints on July 25 more against Remigio Hernandi and Suriel Chacón for the same crime. On the one hand, the former Minister of the Interior would have described him as an idol of clay and serving Vladimiro Montesinos, as well as hinting that he had been promoted “irregularly”, which is why he decided to file this complaint against him.
“Colchado is an idol of clay, a man who served Montesinos, he should not be here a moment longer, if I were a minister I would have made him disappear a long time ago, I don’t know why they are afraid… he has been promoted irregularly, he has run over many people, the Police cannot see him,” reads the complaint.
Finally, Suriel Chacón, a Fujimorist who promoted several Fujimorist campaigns, was also denounced by Colchado. In his case, the official is requesting a civil compensation payment of S/1,000,000, as well as a prison sentence.
