As a result of the confrontation, three professional soldiers were wounded and two others suffered injuries. All were initially treated by military nurses and then evacuated to a medical center where they received specialized evaluation.
In the middle of the attack, the subversives kidnapped to the professional soldier Victor Hugo Yepes García, whose whereabouts are still unknown.

The Army described this fact as a serious violation of human rights and international humanitarian law, warning that “actions such as the kidnappingconspiracy to commit a crime and attempted murder are classified as crimes in Colombian criminal legislation.
