Santo Domingo. – In the last four years, the Dominican Republic has deported more than half a million peoplemost of them from Haitian nationalityaccording to the records of the General Directorate of Migration (DGM).
Between 2021 and 2024were repatriated 509,348 people to different countries, of which the vast majority, 508,529correspond to citizens of Haiti.
According to official data, deportations of Haitian nationals are distributed as follows: 44,020 in 2021, 122,748 in 2022, 174,602 in 2023 and 167,175 in 2024.

He second country with the largest number of citizens deported during that period is USAwith 90 casesmost related to criminal acts. The annual figures are: 11 in 2021, 15 in 2022, 28 in 2023 and 36 in 2024.
In third place figure Cubawith 68 deportations between 2021 and 2024: none in 2021, 40 in 2022, 17 in 2023 and 11 in 2024.
It follows Venezuelawith 34 cases in the same period (10 in 2021, 10 in 2022, 5 in 2023 and 9 in 2024).
In fifth place is found Colombiawith 21 citizens deported: 7 in 2021, 5 in 2022, 3 in 2023 and 6 in 2024.
Other countries with lower repatriation figures are Honduras (10), Mexico (9), Italy (8), Hungary (5), Poland (5), Puerto Rico (5), Spain (4) and China (3)according to the DGM data.
