Haitian man arrested in Jimaní accused of murdering his wife in Barahona

Arrestan en Jimaní haitiano acusado de asesinar a su esposa en Barahona

Independence. Members of the Police of the Southern Regional Directorate arrested a Haitian wanted for the alleged murder of his wife of Haitian nationality.

The uniformed officers belonging to the investigation department, in coordination with the preventive unit, managed to arrest Nide Aguilar, after a long chase for the crime of murder of his romantic partner.

The man’s arrest occurred in the province of Independencia. According to the police note, he is accused of taking the life of his partner in the municipality of La Guazara, province of Barahona.

Aguilar lived with his partner only identified as “Delina”, also of Haitian nationality.

According to the note, the lady died as a result of mechanical asphyxiation.

The note stated that after committing the act, the foreigner fled the scene, being later arrested in the Los Espartillos sector, in the municipality of Jimaní, Independencia province.

The detainee will be placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry.
