International armed forces could intervene in Haiti, after the government of that country announced that it will request international help to repress the gang violence and the protests that paralyze the country, reported the Associated Press (AP).
Although the authorities have not yet formally submitted any request to any government or organization, an official was quoted by the AP news agency as saying.
Violence in Haiti has hampered deliveries of food, fuel and water as the nation also struggles to contain a cholera outbreak.
