The meeting, which took place at the MHAVE headquarters in Musseau, Port-au-Prince, focused on establishing mechanisms to guarantee the return of these compatriots with full dignity.
Last Wednesday, the Government announced that it intends to repatriate 10,000 undocumented migrants per week as part of a series of special measures announced by the National Security and Defense Council, which seek to reduce the excess migrant population perceived in Dominican communities.
The National Security Council explained that the operations will be carried out with strict protocols that ensure respect for the human rights and dignity of repatriates.
