The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, paid heartfelt tribute to the former rector of the National Electoral Council (CNE) and Minister for University Education, Tibisay Lucena.
In his program Con el Mazo Dando where he presented a video to pay homage to the career of the official who passed away this Wednesday morning, the psuvista leader regretted this fact and highlighted the rectitude, dignity and courage that marked Lucena’s life.
“Tibisay leaves us with a historical legacy. History has much to recognize in Tibisay (…). He gave his homeland his work, his tenacity, his dignity, a great patriot, ”she said.
He questioned the hate messages that characters identified with the Venezuelan opposition issued against the former rector.
“The right hates her and they are releasing their poison just because Tibisay was priceless and they couldn’t buy it,” she pointed out while extolling the courage with which the official faced the threats that extremist sectors and the United States Government made against her. she.
Lawsuit against La Patilla
On the other hand, Cabello referred to the lawsuit he won against El Nacional that allowed the use of the dismantled headquarters of this newspaper to become the current building that houses the International University of Communication (IUCOM).
In this sense, he pointed out that there is still no pronouncement in the lawsuit against the La Patilla web portal, owned by Alberto Ravell, and pointed out that in recent days he learned about the sale of a home owned by the defendant.
“There I saw Ravell selling a house in Cerro Verde (in the eastern part of the capital) that would be a perfect home for the elderly,” he said and affirmed that he is still waiting for the resolution of this lawsuit.
“The one from El Nacional took a few years, and I was patient and went even for a hearing that lasted about seven hours, and I sat there listening,” he recalled.
