Hair Plus seeks to increase its exports to more markets

Hair Plus busca aumentar sus exportaciones a más mercados

Hair Plus, manufacturers of Dominican hair products, seeks to continue expanding its exports to other countries, including the Asian market.

The general manager of Hair Plus, Marielis Ramosexpressed that they have their eyes on the Asian market, especially in Japan whose first export of their products was sold in less than a week.

He explained that they export their products to 28 countries, mainly the United States, Puerto Rico, who have 70% of their international sales, followed by Colombia, Mexico, and Venezuela.

He said that of his total sales, between 70 and 80% are in the Dominican Republic. He explained that they indirectly impact more than two thousand people with jobs because they have sales representatives all over the world. They also have their 22 exclusive physical stores of the brand, of these five in the United States, five in Venezuela and one in Puerto Rico.

She highlighted that her sales increased exponentially during the pandemic, as beauty salons were closed. And last year they had exports of more than one million units of products.

Ramos defines his brand as a pioneer and the first natural in the country and its variety of 40 products for all needs, such as dandruff, oily scalp, alopecia, among others, make it among the favorites of consumers.

Ramos highlighted that they plan to open between six to eight more own stores this year.

Hair Plus inaugurated its new factory in La Vega last week with an investment of US$2 million and created 50 direct jobs and hundreds of indirect ones. It has a capillary laboratory.

It has the latest technology in the sector: customized machinery and automated processes to optimize the production chain and keep natural ingredients in the right conditions.
