The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, said that the members of the political awning made “a great exercise of internal democracy” with the celebration of the V Congress of the Party.
“More than 2,300 partners and colleagues gathered here have made this decision that will be mandatory and we will soon see each other in the consultation when the consultation is determined according to the proposals,” said the Bolivarian leader Thursday during the closure of lto plenary Extraordinary of the V Congress of the PSUV and the JPSUV.
During the two days of deliberations and debates, Cabello reported that they derived 11 conclusive points:
1.- We reiterate its absolute commitment and loyalty with the historical legacy of Father Libertador Simón Bolívar and the Supreme and Eternal Commander Hugo Chávez Frías, a fundamental basis of all the struggles assumed by our party;
2.- We greet the popular victories obtained by the revolutionary forces, under the leadership of President Nicolás Maduro Moros, who have guaranteed the peace and stability of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, as well as the right of our people to sovereignty, to self -determination, to Independence and social welfare. The victory over the fascist insurrection of 2024 has been crucial for this purpose;
3.- We recognize the heroic effort of our people, which, under the leadership of President Nicolás Maduro, has been advancing in the process of political stability and national productive recovery, despite the aggressions sustained by the extremist sectors under the direction of imperialism, expressed, expressed, among other forms, through criminal blockade and fascist violence;
4.- We will continue actively participating in the tasks for the defense of our homeland, under the principle of popular-military fusion, as a key element to safeguard national interests against local and foreign enemies of the people.
5.- We are committed to continue working aligned with the Plan of the Patria of the Seven Transformations, oriented by our President Nicolás Maduro, which serves as a basis and guide for the new historical cycle of the Bolivarian Revolution;
6.- We highlight the strategic importance of advancing in the construction of the Bolivarian historical project of the new stage of transition to socialism, for which it is essential mobilization and assuming participatory and leading democracy as the center of our political effort;
7.- We propose to activate communal political teams in this year 2025 as an instance to strengthen popular power, articulating the structures of the PSUV and JPSUV in each commune, with a unit spirit to contribute decisively to the consolidation of participatory and leading revolutionary democracy;
8.- We assume in this new cycle the task of the sector organization of workers, peasants, fishermen, professionals and technicians, among others, incorporating attention to the different collective movements and social organizations that must configure the formation of the new historical block;
9.- We are committed to the construction of the great Bolivarian and Chavista historical block of the 21st century as a central task to continue incorporating all patriotic sectors that defend national independence and the development of the country;
10.- We approve the proposal presented by the National Directorate of PSUV according to article 6 of the Statutes of the Party and its methods of internal democracy, which combines the consultation at the base from the bottom up and intermediate of selection of candidates and candidates of the party to win The elections to be held on April 27, 2025 of the 24 Governments and State Legislative Councils, in addition to the 277 deputies and deputies to the National Assembly.
Application: through base assemblies, being the proposed dates, according to the electoral schedule. Option 1: Saturday, February 15 and Sunday, February 16. Option 2: Saturday, February 22 and Sunday, February 23.
11.- We propose to raise before the National Directorate of the PSUV the proposals of names resulting from the aforementioned mechanisms, so that by co -optation the candidates and the candidates for the Governance elections, to the National Assembly and Legislative Councils are selected and selected, to be held this 27 of April 2025, being the final power of President Nicolás Maduro and the high political command of the Revolution, the decision of those who will assume the candidacies of the revolutionary forces, committing ourselves in absolute unity and loyalty to achieve a new great patriotic victory.
