The Minister of Interior, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello reported that the country’s authorities advance a “line of research” on financing of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), to the media, non -governmental organizations ( NGO) and “Implementers”.
During a press conference offered this Thursday, Cabello exolved that “the implementers” or the “the fruit shops”, named for the opponents, are the ones who were responsible for lowering the resources to finance these groups.
“That was the name they put on them. They said: today pays the pin, today pays the orange, today it touches the Cambur, that is, the implementers were where they lowered the money, ”he explained, while recalling that a law for the control of NGOs was approved in the country . “That’s why they insulted us, they told us about everything, they accused us of dictatorial regime,” he recalled.
In this regard, he said that the moratorium of this law for implementation has just defeated and therefore all NGOs must comply with what is stipulated in said legal instrument.
He also indicated that the United States government has indicated that there are more than 7 thousand journalists who received financing, “have been paid with the USAID silver and nobody says anything. We have been denouncing this since 2012, ”he said.
He recalled that the media called “independent media”, when they received money from the USAID.
He pointed out that all this situation was afloat because “the silver were stolen” and that high -level United States officials are involved. “It is up to them to investigate,” he said.
“That research is well advanced and we are sure that it will have good results,” he said.
