The future Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, announced today (22) four more members of his team, who will assume their duties from 2023.
Economist and tax auditor Rogério Ceron will be Secretary of the National Treasury and lawyer Robinson Barreirinhas was announced as Secretary of the Federal Revenue. Both worked in Haddad’s management at the São Paulo City Hall.
Lawyer Marcos Barbosa Pinto will occupy the Secretariat for Economic Reforms. He also worked with Haddad at the Ministry of Planning, during the first Lula government, and collaborated in the drafting of the law that deals with public-private partnerships, as well as in the Ministry of Education, in the drafting of the law that created the University for All Program (ProUni ).
The future minister recalled that there will be a department just to deal with tax reform, under the Bernard Appy command?? Barbosa Pinto will take care of other renovations.
Economist Guilherme Mello will be the new Secretary of Economic Policies. Mello was a PT adviser during the election period and participated in the transition economy group. According to Haddad, along with other members of the group, the economist played a decisive role in subsidizing the negotiations for proposal approval Amendment to the Constitution (PEC) of the Transition.
In addition to Appy, Haddad had also announced the name of economist Gabriel Galípolo for the executive secretary of the folder. Yet, Anelize Lenzi will occupy the Attorney General’s Office of the National Farm.
Last week, former minister Aloizio Mercadante (PT) was announced as the future president of the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) in the new government.
According to the future minister, the secretary of International Affairs should be appointed next week. Also pending are the names that will command the public banks, such as Banco do Brasil, Caixa, Banco do Nordeste and Banco da Amazônia.
