The Minister of Economy, Martín Guzmán, will attend the Chamber of Deputies this afternoon to present on the 2022 Budget bill that contemplates a growth of 4% and derive most of its resources to public works and economic growth, which the ruling party aspires to vote next week.

Guzmán along with his economic team will attend at 1:00 p.m. to present before the Budget committee on the 2022 budget and the changes that will be introduced in the items established in the initiative sent on September 15, as established by the Financial Administration law.

The project rotated by the national government foresees a growth of 4% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), an inflation of 33% and a dollar to $ 131.1, and contemplates a real increase in social spending and a reduction in energy subsidies.

The minister will make a report on the budget, will detail the changes that will be introduced in the project and will answer questions from the deputies of the ruling party and the opposition.

The project foresees a 4% growth in the Gross Domestic Product, an inflation of 33% and a dollar at $ 131.1, and contemplates a real increase in social spending and a reduction in energy subsidies

For Tuesday and Wednesday other officials will present and legislators will begin to discuss the ruling that will be signed in the last stretch of those meetings.

The debate in the premises of sessions scheduled for Thursday will be held with the new composition of the Chamber that assumed this Friday -after the swearing-in that was carried out on Tuesday in Deputies- where there is a strong parity between the FdT, which has 118 legislators, and Juntos por el Cambio (JxC), which has 116.

In this context, the United Provinces interblock will have a strong influence, which has five members from Río Negro, Misiones and Neuquén; and the Federal interblock, made up of eight members by Identidad Bonaerense, Córdoba Federal and the Socialists and the Ser block.

The agreements that can be entered into with the United and Federal Provinces interblocks and the Ser block are key since they gather 15 votes that are essential to guarantee the necessary majority. to sanction the Budget, since it is difficult for JxC to support this initiative.

In any case, the FdT bench – led by Máximo Kirchner – does not rule out that it may have the support of some radical legislators or the PRO of Corrientes and Jujuy, as happened last year.

The project contemplates increases in private consumption of 4.6%, of public consumption of 3.1%, of investment of 6.6%, with an improvement in exports of 7.5%

The agenda will begin this Monday at 1:00 p.m. with the constitution of the commission that will be made up of 24 deputies from the FdT, 23 from Juntos por el Cambio, one from the Federal Interblock and one from the Unity Provinces Interblock, and the authorities will be chosen.

The Secretary of the Budget Commission, Marcelo Casaretto (FdT, Entre Ríos), affirmed last Thursday that the objective of the ruling bloc is that “in the course of next week the 2022 budget will be approved.”

In dialogue with Télam Radio, Casaretto said that the Minister of Economy “presented the budget on September 15 as established by the Constitution and the laws”, and that “from September to December a series of events have occurred worldwide and in the Argentina “, so” surely the minister himself will propose adjustments to what was originally presented in the budget. “

“In parallel, surely the minister will inform us of the progress of the negotiation with the International Monetary Fund and based on that he will present, in the coming days, the Multi-Year Plan that contains the fundamental concepts of the negotiation with the Monetary Fund and that must also have parliamentary treatment, “he added.

A primary deficit of 3.3% and a financial result of 4.9% are projected to be financed with a combination of credit and financing from the Central Bank, which for 2021 was 3.6% of the product

From JxC, the president of the radical bloc, Mario Negri, criticized the ruling party’s decision to speed up the approval of the Budget by stating that “the ruling party in the new Congress does not start well. Three months ago we asked Minister Guzmán to attend to explain the Budget 2022. They inform us that it will come on Monday, but the problem is that they want to rule on Wednesday and approve it on Thursday. We are not a clerk’s office. “

The project rotated by the Government contemplates increases in private consumption of 4.6%, of public consumption of 3.1%, of investment of 6.6%, with an improvement in exports of 7.5% and 9.4% imports for a trade balance of US $ 9,300 million and with a nominal exchange rate of $ 131.1 per dollar for December 2022.

A primary deficit of 3.3% and a financial result of 4.9% are also projected, which will be financed with a combination of credit and financing from the Central Bank, which for 2021 was 3.6% of the product but which will be reduced for next year to 1.8%, that is to say a reduction to half, while the public titles will contribute 2% of the product.

As a summary, the infrastructure expenses increased to 2.4% of the product; 0.65% in health in the context of the pandemic; education 1.2%, in science and education 0.31% and the budget for active social inclusion that will reach 1.22%

Finally, in terms of energy subsidies, an expenditure on product of 1.5% is projected.
