The Minister of Economy, Martín Guzmán, received his partner from Productive Development, Matías Kulfas; and the Secretary of Industry, Ariel Schale; for analyze the dynamics of the textile sector in the last year.
The Palacio de Hacienda, in a press release, stated that “sectoral policy must balance the objectives of adding national value, promoting job creation and the necessary containment of domestic prices.”
In this framework, Guzmán, Kulfas and Schale reviewed “lines of actions to ensure that these balances are guaranteed in 2022, in the context of policies for the development of the textile sector.”
The Undersecretary of Regional and Sector Programming of the Ministry of Economy, Agustín Lódola, also participated in the meeting.
The textile industry in Argentina this year is experiencing a recovery in production at pre-pandemic levels, with a projected annual investment of US $ 200 million in capital goods, while facing cost increases and a drop in clothing consumption, according to a report presented by the ProTejer Foundation.
