The Minister of Economy, Martin Guzmanconsidered that the current context provides “a historic opportunity in which energy can have a transformational role for Argentina.”
Also, he pointed out that “Production has been growing, reversing the decline in 2021, thanks to the Gas.Ar Plan”leading together with President Alberto Fernández at the Casa Rosada Bicentennial Museum an act on policies to support the development of the hydrocarbon sector, with the participation of governors, union representatives, businessmen and businessmen, and leaders of the energy industry.
Guzmán announced the creation of a “special regime for access to foreign currency for the incremental production of hydrocarbons.”
In this sense, the head of the Treasury Palace anticipated that the new regime “will crystallize in a presidential decree” that will seek “to resolve shortages and bottlenecks in the sector, allowing companies to access the necessary foreign currency to guarantee the special equipment that is required to obtain incremental production”.
Guzmán stressed that the new special regime for access to foreign currency for the production of hydrocarbons “seeks to generate a greater flow of foreign currency between Argentina and the rest of the world, so that there are more dollars in the country, and thus be able to grow more and generate more worked”.
