“CONFIRMED @petrogustavo was NOT born in Ciénaga de Oro, but in ZIPAQUIRÁ. Tests? – Citizenship card – Civil registry – Video in which Petro says it. And it is not that it is wrong to be born in one place or another, but it is very wrong to present yourself as a coastal person without being one, ”said Robledo on his Twitter account.

Nevertheless, Senator Robledo has received criticism from the Historical Pact saying that this is not a great discovery. Former Governor Camilo Romero stated: “If he has time left, help me, according to him, to find out where I was born. Because I was also born in one place and I have a record of another. I was born in Ipiales and I have registration in Pasto”.

Alfonso Prada, head of debate for Gustavo Petro’s campaign, affirmed that the presidential candidate was born in Ciénaga de Oro and assures that the department of Córdoba is indeed his homeland.
