Gustavo Petro sends Miguel Polo Polo to read and the teasing does not take long

This week it became known that the Industry and commerce ministry has a decree ready that will come to light in the coming days, with which they seek to put 40% tax on imports of clothing and textiles.

According to the decree, it would be at imports from any origin of most favored nation (MFN) and will not modify any current preferential tax relief program in Colombia. If this decree goes into effect, it would go from 15% after 10 dollars and 40% between 0 to 10 dollars to have a 40% tax in all kinds of imports.

Because of this tax, Congressman Miguel Polo Polo criticized President Gustavo Petro and his Tax Reform, despite the fact that the decree has nothing to do with what was approved in the Congress of the Republic.

“Thanks to Petro’s tax reform, all imported clothing such as Zara, Berska, H&M, among many others, will be 45% more expensive than today. Gustavo Bolívar and other rich people will be able to continue buying clothes in Miami. Those who get screwed are the poor who have nothing to pay that tax with,” wrote Polo Polo.
