In his speech at the eightieth session of the UN General Assembly, Petro invited “the nations of the world and their people above all, as part of humanity, to unite armies and weapons” to “liberate Palestine” and criticized the US-led war on drugs.

Representatives of the American delegation who were still in the facility abandoned it amid Petro’s criticism of his Government.
