Gustavo Gaticawho was hit by Carabineros pellets in 2019 -an event that left him blind-, in the midst of the protests of the social outbreak, received his degree in psychology from the University Academy of Christian Humanism (UAHC) on Monday.
“I went to study psychology thinking of being a contribution to this society, today, five years later, I am more convinced than before that we must always try to make this a better world,” Gatica said on his Instagram account.

“I thank the UAHC, my colleagues for so much help, and above all I thank my father, mother and my brother for motivating me and encouraging me to embark on this professional path,” added the young man.
The Government Spokesperson Minister, Camila Vallejo, congratulated Gatica. “What great pride! Congratulations Gustavo Gatica for your degree,” the Secretary of State also indicated on her Instagram account.
“A hug to you and your family, I can imagine the effort and work you have put into achieving this important goal. I am sure you will be a great professional,” she added.
Due to the pellet shot that left him blind, former Carabineros Lieutenant Colonel Claudio Crespo is prosecuted and with the precautionary measures of national roots and fortnightly signing.
