The director of the Department of Social Prosperity (DPS), Gustavo Bolívar, announced a new measure aimed at paying overdue bills in the entity. This provision would aim to confront corruption and put an end to an alleged lobby in the entity.
“There is a lobby, quite strange, of many people persecuting the officials of the financial division to remove overdue accounts and in our case there are many payable liabilities, which are works that contractors have already completed and that have not been paid” , Bolívar explained in a video published on his X account.
The DPS director added that apparently economic incentives were being presented to try to encourage pending payments to be brought forward to those businessmen who fulfilled their contracts.
To prevent these types of cases from continuing to occur, the official indicated that he has just issued a measure “so that the DPS pays the contractors who are owed accounts. Even from previous governments, because I understand the desperation of a businessman who puts in his money and it turns out that he is not paid.”

New anti-corruption measure in Social Prosperity.
There is no more lobbying with officials of the entity to advance payment of invoices. Entrepreneurs who fulfilled their contracts should not pay bribes to get paid. The provision consists of the payment of those liabilities in the order in which the accounts were filed. “To the contractors I leave this news that can serve as an incentive and that all the money will be recognized and, to avoid this corruption of people visiting officials to get an account, we are simply going to pay as much as possible. old forward”, stood out.
“I hope this helps to stop this parade of lobbyists on the financial side and so that the contractors have peace of mind that their money will be paid. But, they have to wait for us to pay the oldest ones first because it is unfair. “There are businessmen who have been owed for so long, simply because there are ‘more lively’ ones who are capable of corrupting officials so that they get paid quickly.”Bolívar added.
